I was setting off for work today to Stirling. Instead of running for the bus I stopped on the bridge in Leith and took this serene scene. It's not that often that the water creates such a still life of the images above.

This is an absolutely perfect photo. It creates a such a serene mood. Oh, to lay in that boat with a thick quilt wrapped around yourself and take a nap.
Beautiful - the reflections on the smooth water and the misty athmospere...!
Beautiful greys and whites
I'm interested in your take on what makes Scotland unique or different from other places.
I speak and teach on the subject of branding. And as such I have been looking at how communities and nations even brand themselves with logos and taglines.
Most of the time meaningless slogans are picked under the supervision of "experts" charging hundreds of thousands of dollars.
With your eye as a photographer - how you answer the question above would intrgue me.
In either case, have enjoyed viewing your blog and the photos!
If this had been a landscape oriented photo, it would be my desktop right now -- crediting you of course ;-)
Its my first time here ... its serenely nostalgic ...awesome.
